“I hate the geography of the Swiss Alps being used as a metaphor for emotional repression. But I… appreciate the intent.”
Mary stared at him. “You hate musicals.”
In the final scene, the Coopers gathered around the TV—not the VCR—to watch a fuzzy broadcast of a nature documentary about ants. Sheldon sat on the couch, hands in his lap, no notepad in sight. George Sr. had his arm around Mary. Missy rolled her eyes but didn’t leave the room. And for one commercial break, the only static in the house was on the screen.
