Instead of buying a full, expensive retail copy of Windows Pro or Ultimate, you could buy a cheaper "upgrade key." You would type that key into your existing Windows Home installation, and within 10–15 minutes, Windows would unlock the hidden Pro features (BitLocker, Remote Desktop, Group Policy, etc.) without a full reinstall.
Save yourself the frustration. Buy a genuine Windows 10/11 Pro key from Microsoft or a trusted retailer. Your time (and your data) is worth more than gambling on a decade-old upgrade key.
