Ron (Ken Marino) sees the convention as a “market” to sell Party Down’s “brand.” He tries to enforce a “no talking about the lore” rule. It goes about as well as you’d expect. The Guttenberg Factor The secret weapon of this episode is Steve Guttenberg playing himself. In most sitcoms, a celebrity cameo feels like a desperate ratings grab.
