Movie Yogi Now
Before Toy Story or The Simpsons Movie , there was Yogi. This wasn't just a short; it was a full-length, theatrical animated feature.
Yogi gets himself into hot water (literally) when he tries to impress his girlfriend, Cindy, by stealing a picnic basket from the Ranger’s car. As punishment, Ranger Smith decides to send him to the San Diego Zoo. The rest of the film is a cross-country chase as Yogi and Boo-Boo try to make their way home, only to discover Cindy has been dognapped (bear-napped?) by a greedy circus owner. movie yogi
This is pure nostalgia. The animation has that bouncy, limited-motion 60s feel, and the songs are surprisingly catchy ( “Ven-e, Ven-o, Ven-a” ). It proves that Yogi’s greed is only matched by his loyalty to his friends. 2. Yogi Bear (2010) The Hybrid (Live-Action/CGI) Reboot Before Toy Story or The Simpsons Movie , there was Yogi
While Jellystone Park is his natural habitat, the cinema has given Yogi a chance to grow (sometimes in CGI) while still clinging to his classic charm. As punishment, Ranger Smith decides to send him
This time, the threat isn't a zoo—it's budget cuts. The crooked Mayor of the neighboring town wants to shut down Jellystone Park and sell the timber. Yogi must prove that the park is worth saving. The twist? He has to do it without getting caught stealing baskets, or Ranger Smith (played by a very stressed-out Tom Cavanagh) will finally throw him in jail.
Whether you prefer the hand-drawn classic of 1964 or the CGI fur of 2010, the lesson is the same: Don't steal the Ranger's picnic basket... unless you're absolutely sure you can get away with it.
