They were led to a steel ladder descending into a shipping container buried in the hillside, converted into a dark maze. Inside: 50,000 cockroaches, mealworms, and—new for Greece— vinegaroon whip scorpions (harmless but nightmare-inducing).

The hosts are flustered. There's no rule for a three-way tie. But the public vote, when it comes, is unanimous: wins, for her courage and her heart. But she refuses the crown. "Put it on Ricky," she says. "He fought his worst fear and won."

"Breathe with me," she says, in her full Shakespearean projection. "In. Out. Now—your left hand. There's a key. Pick it up."

He does.

Four celebrities remain: Kai, Dame Patricia, Ricky, and the surprisingly resilient Dr. Sanjay. The final trial: "The Gift of Prometheus." A vertical obstacle course up the side of the ruined temple, collecting torches, while being blasted with cold water and fake lightning.
