If you’re maintaining an older system, a legacy industrial app, or a corporate environment that just won’t quit, you might still need to run or develop for Windows 7 with the .NET Framework. Microsoft ended support for Windows 7 in January 2020 (with ESU extended until 2023 for some), but millions of machines—especially air-gapped or offline systems—still run it today.
