Tempers rise not from anger alone, but from the sheer, unavoidable nearness of other lives. Anthroheat is what happens when bodies remember they are animals—social, fragile, electric. It cannot be generated artificially. It can only be borrowed, for a while, from the people who press against you in the dark. It doesn’t register on any thermostat
